Scoring System

All session proposals will be reviewed and scored by a team of outside reviewers, using a 100-point scale. These rankings will be used by the Leadership Summit program committee to choose the sessions, combining 30-minute individual speaker proposals with other presentations. You are invited to propose a complete 90-minute session program or any part thereof.

Based on the theme of “Leadership Next: The Church Transitioning in an Emerging Culture” the reviewers will score proposals on set criteria.

All proposals should be:

  • Appropriate to the theme of Building Strategic Partnerships: Moving Beyond Church as Usual" (25 points)

  • Target specifically the appropriate session tracks (see list below) (25 points)

  • Offer new and cutting edge approaches (25 points)

  • Will attract new audiences to the Leadership Summit (10 points)

  • Contribute to diversity of the conference in terms of topics, presentation style and experience of the presenters (15 points)

All proposals must be submitted online via e-mail to rcwharton@gmail.com or fax 410-947-8588 by December 31, 2007.  Remember we are particularly interested in having new presenters, including Clergy (Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, Deacons, & All other church leaders), Lay members, students, faculty and researchers who can contribute to a diversity of learning experiences at the Pastor and Church Leadership Summit 2008.

We look forward to seeing you in Myrtle Beach, SC, in March!
